The University of Arkansas β Fort Smith will host its first-ever Miss 91ΑΤΖζβs Outstanding
Teen Competition at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at ArcBest Performing Arts Center,
55 S. 7thSt. in Fort Smith. This competition will be held in conjunction with the 42nd annual
Miss 91ΑΤΖζ Scholarship Competition.
The Miss 91ΑΤΖζβs Outstanding Teen Competition is a qualifier for Miss Arkansasβ Outstanding Teen and Miss Americaβs Outstanding Teen. Contestants must be a resident of Arkansas between the ages of 13-17 and must not turn 18 before Aug. 1, 2019. Entry fee is $100. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and will compete for the title of Miss Arkansasβ Outstanding Teen in Little Rock this summer.
βWe are excited to be able to take a program that has been tremendously successful, such as the Miss 91ΑΤΖζ Scholarship Competition, and be able to offer it to teens across the state of Arkansas,β said Stacey Jones, vice chancellor for campus and community events at 91ΑΤΖζ and executive director of the Miss 91ΑΤΖζ and Miss 91ΑΤΖζβs Outstanding Teen competitions. βThe Miss America Organization has just made this available for colleges and universities to begin offering in the last year. We are excited to be able to now send two representatives of 91ΑΤΖζ and our region to compete at the state level.β

Orientation for the Miss 91ΑΤΖζ' Outstanding Teen Competition, as well as the Miss 91ΑΤΖζ and Miss 91ΑΤΖζ Princess program will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Smith Pendergraft Campus Center room 129, on the 91ΑΤΖζ Campus. Program book photographs will also be taken at this time.
